Dear Colleagues, Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 2nd Global Road Safety Film Festival on 18 and 19 February, 2010 in Marrakech.
This event follows on from the Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety held in Moscow, organized by the Russian Federation with the support of the United Nations, where 1 500 people from 150 countries met to analyze the conditions for improving global road safety and develop a comprehensive and shared strategy.
The work of the Conference in Moscow confirmed that communication, combined with education, science and culture, is one of the few approaches to road safety, influencing the behavior is likely to lead to positive results in medium and long term.
Anyone whose job is to save lives on the roads know that road safety is a shared responsibility and globalization marks the transition from regional and national programs to a comprehensive approach taking into account the peculiarities of different countries.
The Global Road Safety Film Festival aims to facilitate international cooperation in road safety between different regions of the world by involving representatives of the United Nations road safety Collaboration Group, politicians, business leaders, local authorities, associations, producers and users of multimedia documents, journalists and communication professionals, young students, students of schools and young people involved in road safety.
Our goal is to share best practices for road safety actions, creating a global center of multimedia resources on road safety which will enhance the ability of all to develop and implement prevention programs.
This will ensure that the results of the Moscow Conference had a lasting importance to the global level and encourage the commitment to effective action reflecting a strong political will, common objectives and mobilize resources at all levels, global, regional, National and local.

Nous sommes heureux de vous inviter à participer au 2ème Festival mondial du film de sécurité routière les 18 et 19 février 2010 à Marrakech.
Cet évènement s’inscrit dans le prolongement de la Conférence ministérielle mondiale sur la sécurité routière qui s’est tenue à Moscou, organisée par la Fédération de Russie avec l'appui de l'Organisation des Nations Unies, où 1 500 personnes provenant de 150 pays se sont réunis pour analyser les conditions d'amélioration de la sécurité routière mondiale et développer une stratégie globale et partagée.
Les travaux de la Conférence de Moscou ont confirmé que la communication, combinée à l’éducation, la science et la culture, est une des seules approches de la sécurité routière qui, agissant sur les comportements, est de nature à entraîner des résultats positifs dans le moyen et long terme. Tous ceux dont le métier est de sauver des vies sur les routes savent que la sécurité routière est une responsabilité partagée et la mondialisation marque le passage de programmes régionaux et nationaux à une approche globale tenant compte des particularités des différents pays.
Le Festival mondial du film de sécurité routière vise ainsi à faciliter la coopération internationale en matière de sécurité routière entre les différentes régions du monde en associant les représentants des organisations du Groupe des Nations Unies pour la collaboration en matière de sécurité routière, des personnalités politiques, des responsables d'entreprises, d’autorités locales, d'associations, de producteurs et d’utilisateurs de documents multimédias, journalistes et professionnels de la communication, de jeunes étudiants, élèves d'établissements scolaires et jeunes impliqués dans la sécurité routière. Une catégorie particulière est prévue pour les films produits par les jeunes.
Notre objectif est d'échanger les meilleures pratiques d’actions de sécurité routière, tout en créant un centre mondial de ressources multimédias sur la sécurité routière qui renforcera la capacité de tous à concevoir et mettre en œuvre des programmes de prévention.
Cela garantira que les résultats de la Conférence de Moscou ont eu une importance durable au niveau mondial et encouragera l'engagement d'actions efficaces traduisant une volonté politique forte, des objectifs communs et la mobilisation des ressources à tous les niveaux, mondial, régional, national et local.
